At this point we’re wondering what we’re going to see first: the Han Solo spinoff movie, or Westworld Season 2.
Both are shaping up to be great, but while we’ve yet to hear anything concrete about the hit HBO show, we’re learning more and more about Phil Lord and Christopher Miller’s take on the famous smuggler every day.

One actor is starring in both productions, however, and she recently spoke about her time on the Lucasfilm set.
Thandie Newton was speaking with TheWrap and managed to stay secretive, as Lucasfilm prefers when it comes to Star Wars, while talking about working on the next anthology film set in a galaxy far, far away.
“It’s fantatic [sic], I’m loving [it],” she wrote about the London-based production of the film. “It’s different from anything else I have done or am doing.”

When pressed for some specific reasoning for her professed love, Newton played coy.
“I can’t tell you. It’s just different, OK? It’s just really different,”
Argh, you’re killing us, Thandie! Just a hint about who your character is, their allegiances, whether they get to pilot the Millennium Falcon, how many scenes you shared with Chewbacca, a plot synopsis, the film’s actual titleโANYTHING!
Unfortunately, Lucasfilm actors rarely let loose any plot details, so we’ll just have to wait until we learn more about the movie in the coming months. We’re less than a year away from the film’s premiere as the release dates for Star Wars movies shift from December to May, meaning we’ll have about five months between Star Wars: The Last Jedi and the untitled Han Solo spinoff movie.
The Han Solo movie hits theaters May 25.

The Han Solo spinoff is filming now under directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller for a May 25, 2018 release. Alden Ehrenreich stars as a young Han Solo and Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca in the era before Star Wars: A New Hope, before they met Leia and Luke and embarked on a galaxy-saving adventure. Donald Glover also stars as Lando Calrissian, with Woody Harrelson, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Emilia Clarke in as-yet-unrevealed co-starring roles.
