The latest issue of Entertainment Weekly gives the Jedi the cover treatment with two variants featuring both of the heroic Force wielders in the latest Star Wars installment while promising some exclusive information inside.
The issue also contains new, never-before-seen images of the movie, including a look at Kylo Ren’s awesome new TIE Fighter in action.
Daisy Ridley as Rey graces the cover of one variant, wielding what was Anakin Skywalker’s old lightsaber and donning her new duds for the movie.
Meanwhile Mark Hamill‘s Luke Skywalker looks slightly sinister in a dark hooded robe, with shadows covering most of his face.

The New Covers
The issue offers more insight into Rey’sย journey to Ahch-To, where she’s hoping to find the Jedi legend of myth that she’s heard so many stories about.
Instead sheย discovers “a man overpowered by regret, eager to close the book on his past while living out the rest of his days on an isolated island.”
Though Luke Skywalkerย might be living a life of solitude on the ancient Jedi planet, he will not be alone. We’ve already seen a glimpse at the adorable, penguin-looking Porgsย from the D23 behind-the-scenes reel. EW’s feature promises a look at even more new creatures that will also populate the island.
The issue also promises a look into Finn, played by John Boyega, on a Resistance mission to the casino planet of Canto Bight alongside newcomer Kelly Marie Tran who will play Rose, a mechanic and self-described “nobody” in the fight against the First Order.ย
It also promises a story about the late, great Carrie Fisher from co-starย Oscar Isaac “that will make you miss her even more than you do now, if that’s possible.”
But back to that cover of Luke, is this a sign of things to come when Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters? We’ll find out on December 15th.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is the second film in the new Star Wars sequel trilogy that began with Star Wars: The Force Awakens in 2015. The film will deal with Luke training Rey to become a, and possibly the last, Jedi. Meanwhile, the Resistance, including Poe Dameron and First Order defector Finn, continues to fight against the First Order, led by General Hux, while Supreme Leader Snoke and his Dark Side follower Kylo Ren continue their mysterious plot.
