Ever since his debut in The Force Awakens, Star Wars fans have debated over the true identity of Supreme Leader Snoke with theories ranging from Mace Windu to Kanan Jarrus from Star Wars Rebels. When speaking with Entertainment Tonight, actor Andy Serkis revealed that, of all the ridiculous theories out there, one sticks out the most.
Specifically, the idea that Snoke could actually be Jar Jar Binks is the most absurd.

Serkis is the actor behind the motion capture for the character, so he's clearly quite familiar with many of the theories tossed around. As far as the idea that Jar Jar is Snoke, Serkis claimed, "That's a really sucky theory."
After his debut in The Phantom Menace, fans instantly took a dislike to the Gungan, as his jester-like goofiness didn't sit well with fans who refused to embrace any goofiness in the franchise. The character had smaller and smaller roles in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, which seemingly marked the end of his live-action journey.
In the novel Star Wars Aftermath: Empire's End, Jar Jar's true fate was revealed, which is far from becoming a Supreme Leader of anything.
According to the novel, Jar Jar, after once being a high-ranking politician, had resorted to being a street performer, earning his living by entertaining children on the street. When asked about how he got to this part of his life, the clown relays that virtually everyone in the galaxy hates him, as his previous actions as a politician aided the Empire in accepting power.
Of all the various Snoke theories and possibilities out there, it sounds like was can rule out Jar Jar Binks for sure.
The Last Jedi hits theaters on December 15th.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is the second film in the new Star Wars sequel trilogy that began with Star Wars: The Force Awakens in 2015. The film will deal with Luke training Rey to become a, and possibly the last, Jedi. Meanwhile, the Resistance, including Poe Dameron and First Order defector Finn, continues to fight against the First Order, led by General Hux, while Supreme Leader Snoke and his Dark Side follower Kylo Ren continue their mysterious plot.
