This week’s Star Wars Show, the new weekly shortform youtube show produced by StarWars.com, had a special surprise for fans: official keyart for Star Wars Celebration Europe 2016. The art mashes up the cast of Star Wars: The Force Awakens/Episode VIII with folks from the still relatively newly revealed Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Death Troopers!

ย

The new black-clad Stormtroopersย in the trailer have been officially confirmed as Death Troopers. That’s what most people thought the black armored characters would be called, but this is the first official confirmation of it. The Death Troopers are assumed to be an elite squadron of stormtroopers who are sent on the most dangerous missions – but for now the only thing we know about them for certain is that they look cool and they’re called Death Troopers.

Shoretrooper

ย

Another stormtrooper variant debuted on the poster as well, the Shoretrooper. These are the ones leading the charge against the Rebels at the very end of the first teaser trailer, and their armor looks like it’s uniquely constructed to protect them in sand and probably also amphibious situations. Get building, 501st’ers, I want to see Death Troopers and Shoretroopers at Celebration Europe!

AT-ACT?

And that brings us to this behemoth, the AT-ACT. That’s an All Terrain-Armored Cargo Transport, a variant on the classic AT-AT that wowed so many fans in the Battle of Hothย duringย Empire Strikes Back. The vehicle, also spotted on that beach assault, seems like a slightly odd way to transport cargo in a world of galaxy-hopping ships (that can, of course, move aย lot faster than a plodding AT-AT). Just what kind of cargo could possibly require this particular type of transport? We’ll find out inย Rogue One: A Star Wars Storyย in December 2016.
