With Stranger Things, Millie Bobby Brown launched into the cultural zeitgeist for her portrayal of science experiment-turned-super powered badass Eleven. The actor has only cemented her position as a pop culture icon with every talk show and award show appearance.
Brown has been earning a higher profile and it will be paying off later this fall when the highly anticipated Stranger Things 2 releases Netflix, and then in the following year when Godzilla: King of Monsters hits theaters. We’re just waiting for the kid to get a record deal now (any minute now). โจโจBut Brown hasn’t just set her sights on the starsโshe’s set them to a galaxy far, far away.

At her spotlight panel during Emerald City Comicon, Brown was asked by a fan which role she’d play if she could choose any. And the actor settled for royalty.
“Princess Leia,” Brown responded. “I love Carrie Fisher and it would be amazing to carry on her legacy.”

The way that Star Wars spinoffs are going, that’s actually pretty plausible. Of course it goes a little ways when an actor looks the partโas Brown doesโbut when one has the acting chops to back it up? That’s the important part.
While Carrie Fisher’s legacy is damn near untouchableโremember, she was an uncredited script doctor on the setโbut if there’s anyone we’d like to see take up the mantle, it’s Brown.
Carrie Fisher’s final film appearance as Princess Leia will be in this December’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
What do you think, Star Wars fans? Could you see Brown bring some of that Upside Down magic to the Star Wars galaxy?
