When Netflix unleashed The Haunting of Hill House upon its subscribers in 2018, not only were audiences engaged by the complex drama and unsettling horrors of the story, but the series also earned a number of repeat viewings thanks to director Mike Flanagan hiding a number of spirits within various frames in hopes of conveying the idea of a home truly full of ghosts. In the follow-up series The Haunting of Bly Manor, these hidden ghosts were once again incorporated, but rather than being unidentified spirits, each specter had significance to the events that unfolded in the home throughout its history.

Despite the actual number of individual identities being smaller in this second season compared to the first, the ghosts seem to appear more frequently in this series than in its predecessor. For those who might be trying to track down all of the ghosts in this new season, we’ve compiled many of their appearances, some of which were obvious while others are much more subtle.
Below you’ll find nearly every appearance of a “hidden” ghost in The Haunting of Bly Manor, with the exception of the appearances of Dani’s ex-boyfriend, as she sees this presence and therefore doesn’t fulfill the nature of a “hidden” ghost.
