Skeet Ulrich is no stranger to being in fan-favorite pieces of pop culture, thanks to his work in Scream and The Craft. But as the actor recently explained, his role on Riverdale has put things in a new perspective.

In a recent interview with People, Ulrich spoke about appearing on the hit The CW series. As Ulrich explained, playing FP Jones has introduced him to a whole new generation of fans, something that he wasn't necessarily expecting.

"[Riverdale] certainly has a rabid fan base," Ulrich explained. "I arrived in Vancouver last month and had teenagers waiting to get pictures with me. It's the strangest thing. I have kids their age!"

Ulrich has also noticed one big difference from his early days as a teen heartthrob - the way that fandom sort of spreads through social media.

"There was no social media, so there was very little awareness of any fame or popularity," Ulrich revealed. "You just hoped audiences got to see what you were doing. And then you got traditional fan mail — like bags of it!"

Ulrich's character has had a larger role in Riverdale's proceedings in recent episodes, thanks to FP being let out of jail. He now serves as a waiter at Pop's Diner, all while trying to keep the Serpents - and his son, Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse) - out of trouble. But if one new fan theory is correct, the Jones family could be in some sort of trouble.

But if the Jones family makes it out of season two in one piece, Ulrich has already voiced his suggestion for who could play Jughead's mom.

"I mean, God, I think Neve [Campbell] would be really interesting," Ulrich revealed late last month. "I know she's busy doing some films and stuff like that, so I don't know if that's a possibility. But yeah, I think she'd be very intriguing."

Riverdale airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on The CW.
