'Westworld' Season 2 Trailer Debuts Online, Announces Release Date

Earlier this week, HBO teased Westworld fans all around the world by sharing a cryptic teaser on Twitter, revealing that a new trailer for its second season would be airing during the Super Bowl.

That promise was realized during the second half of the big game, and viewers were treated to the newest look at Westworld Season 2. The end of the teaser revealed that the season would be debuting on HBO in April.

The show's Twitter account then revealed that the Season 2 premiere will take place on Aprill 22 at 9pm ET.

Fans have been waiting for Season 2 to arrive for over a year now. The first season concluded in December 2016, and the producers quickly revealed that the second installment would be on hold for some time, likely not debuting until 2018. If you recall, the first season when through numerous delays as the production outpaced the writing of the scripts. With the second season, producers wanted to wait until all episode scripts were written before cameras started rolling.

The footage that was revealed back on Friday teased that park workers had not responded to calls from Delos, and that something dangerous was happening inside Westworld. Then all of a sudden, the messages stopped, and the user than let viewers know that everything was actually under control.


As the Season 1 finale revealed, the park is being taken over by hosts, and there's a chance that the danger will spill into other potential Delos parks.

The second season of Westworld is set to air on HBO this spring.
