Outside of the Royal Rumble, no WWE pay per view is more fun to speculate on than Money in the Bank. With the winner of the golden briefcase nearly certain to cash in for a future World Championship, fans love to predict which superstar will get the WWE’s rocket strapped to their back. Nearly 2 months before the pay per view, www.betwrestling.com has released betting odds for the MITB match itself, even though there have been no participants officially announced.

Odds have been set for 16 potential winners and with six participants traditionally being set for these matches, obviously not all of these will be involved. On occasion WWE will allow more than six participants, however the most ever has been ten.
It should be noted that the odds on a wrestling event are based on speculated rumors. Randy Orton was the odds on favorite to win the 2017 Royal Rumble and in fact did just that. However, two months out, Goldberg and even The Undertaker were also favorites to win the event. You can make an early bet on a wrestler who never ends up in the match if you wish, but there’s a good chance that money is flushed. Those bets would be graded as a loss because it will be considered more of a prop bet based on potential of both being in the match and winning. Technically none of these choices are guaranteed to be entered in the match but realistically all the participants are likely to be from this lot.
The 2016 MITB ladder match was won by Dean Ambrose and the Lunatic Fringe cashed in on his opportunity on the very same night, defeating Seth Rollins for the WWE Championship after Rollins had bested Roman Reigns.
With a babyface winning the event last year, the odds seem to greatly favor a heel climbing the ladder to success this June. Below is a full list of potential winner with their odds. These are expected to change as we near to MITB on June 18.
โ
WWE Money in the Bank 2017 Betting Odds
Baron Corbin +150
Shinsuke Nakamura +200
Kevin Owens +250
AJ Styles +400
Sami Zayn +600
Rusev +800
John Cena +1000
Randy Orton +1000
Mojo Rawley +1400
Dolph Ziggler +1700
Big E +2000
Tye Dillenger +2000
Kane +2500
Luke Harper +2500
Zack Ryder +2500
Jinder Mahal +3300
At odds of +150, Corbin has the best chances out of anyone to take the briefcase and the right to cash it in for a WWE Championship title shot at a time of his choosing. This is a 40% chance of winning and from a field of 16 hopefuls, these are outstanding odds. Corbin has been rumored for a huge push later in the year and a feud with Randy Orton seems inevitable. Considering heels are generally favored to carry the briefcase, this seems like a perfect spot to elevate Corbin.
The next most favorable odds have been set for Shinsuke Nakamura at +200, a 33% probability. After great success in both NJPW and NXT, The Artist has finally made his way to the WWE main roster as part of the Superstar Shake-Up, joining the Smackdownย brand. While Shinsukeย carrying the briefcase would be great, he doesn’t necessarily need it to validate aย rise to the top.
With odds of +250, or a 28% chance, Kevin Owens is the next most likely to win this match. The New Face Of America seems to work best when he has a prize of some kind to carry with him and if he were to lose the United States Championship in the next few months, a MitBย win would make a lot of sense.ย
AJ Styles, a former WWEย Champion, is 4th most likely at +400, a 20% probability. Betwrestling.com states this could be an undervaluation of Styles and because of this the lines could move in his favor if gamblers back him under his current odds. AJ winning the Money in the Bank matchย would be a fitting accomplishment for his career, but he could wrestle his way into a championship match in plenty of other ways.
The long shot we like best here is John Cenaย at +1,000. While the 16 time World Champion doesn’t “need” the briefcase, knowing that breaking Ric Flair’s record lies on the other side of his next championship victory, it would make for a very interesting story heading into SummerSlam.
