Typically it’s metaphors that sail over Drax’s head, but apparently the adventures of the Broken One Matt Hardy do as well.

Well, not Drax specifically, rather the person that plays him in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Dave Batista. Batista might not be in the ring anymore, but he seems to be aware of what’s going on in the industry. That would include TNA and Impact Wrestlings hit “Deletion” series, which chronicles the journey of Broken Matt Hardy, Brother Nero, Reby Hardy, and King Maxel as they claim the wrestling world for themselves.

It’s as crazy as it sounds, but fans are eating it up (and rightly so), but Batista thinks it’s gone overboard (via CageSideSeats). Chad Dukes retweeted a video of King Maxel (Hardy’s son) using the “Delete” symbol, and Batista commented on it by saying “I feel like this has taken “Jumping The Shark” to a whole new level.”

Utilizing his broken brilliance (not to mention staying in character), Hardy tweeted back “King Maxel and I have jumped the Lake of Reincarnation’s shark on our jet ski since April and haven’t been bit yet. Viewers find it DELIGHTFUL!”

In other words, it’s been incredibly successful, so relax, or you’ll be DELETED!

Hopefully, Batista can now focus on his upcoming film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, where he reprises the role of Drax the Destroyer. From the looks of the first trailer, he’s going to a big part of the film’s comedic moments, at least when Baby Groot isn’t on screen.

Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is written and directed by James Gunn (Slither). The film marks the return of the original Guardians, including Chris Pratt (Jurassic World) as Peter Quill/Star-Lord; Zoe Saldana (Star Trek Into Darkness) as Gamora; Dave Bautista (Spectre) as Drax; Vin Diesel (Furious 7) as the voice of Groot; Bradley Cooper (American Sniper) as the voice of Rocket; Michael Rooker (Jumper) as Yondu; Karen Gillan (The Big Short) as Nebula; and Sean Gunn (Gilmore Girls) as Kraglin. New cast members include Pom Klementieff (Oldboy), Elizabeth Debicki (The Great Gatsby, Everest), Chris Sullivan (The Knick, The Drop) and Kurt Russell (The Hateful Eight, The Thing).
