WWE: Happy Birthday Trish Stratus!

One of the WWE’s most famous “divas” is celebrating her 41st birthday today. WWE Hall of Famer, Trish Stratus, was born on this day in 1975. Stratus took to Twitter to show her appreciation for the birthday love.

The birthday must be a bittersweet one for Stratus as she just yesterday posted a touching tribute to her grandmother, who had recently passed.

The former canadian fitness model turned wrestler spent the early part of her career involved in sexually themed storylines, such as managing the team T & A (get it?) and an being involved in an affair with Vince McMahon. Stratus’ popularity and wrestling skills increased to the point where she became the central figure in the women’s division for nearly a decade. During this time, Trish became a WWE Hardcore Champion, three-time “WWE Babe of the Year”, a record-setting seven time WWE Women’s Champion and was named the WWE’s “Diva of the Decade” on RAW’s 10th anniversary show in 2003.

In 2011, Stratus was a trainer for WWE Tough Enough and she was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013.

Since retiring, Stratus has become involved in various charities and started her own yoga studio.
