Fans are eager to see more of Tom Holland's Spider-Man, and they'll get their chance soon. Holland is back for Spider-Man: Homecoming, and now some footage has surfaced of the wall-crawler behind the scenes.
An Instagram post surfaced that shows Spider-Man swinging above a city street. The caption reads "spiderman_the_new_avengerNew set video of #Spiderman in #AvengersInfinityWar 😃 Looks like a new suit too, unless they're gonna cgi most of it🤔 #SpidermanHomecoming #Avengers." Now while Avengers: Infinity War is currently in production, this is likely from either a Homecoming reshoot or the mysterious footage that was being shot for Stan Lee and DJ Khaled's cameo. The two stars were on set for something they couldn't talk much about, though that didn't keep Khaled from snap chatting the entire time.
You can judge for yourself in the video above. Spider-Man: Homecoming is currently enjoying a 4.11 out of 5 on ComicBook.com's anticipation rankings, and you can rank all of the upcoming comic films here.
A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.
The cast includes Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, with Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr. It also includes Jon Favreau, Martin Starr, Kenneth Choi, Michael Mando, Selenis Leyva, Isabella Amara, Jorge Lendeborg, Jr., JJ Totah, and Hannibal Buress.
Next up for Marvel is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 on May 5, 2017. Spider-Man: Homecoming lands on July 7, 2017, followed by Thor: Ragnarok on November 3, 2017. After that Black Panther debuts on February 16, 2018, while Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4, 2018.
