Tom Holland Details His Dream Ant-Man/Spider-Man Team Up

The next blockbuster from Marvel Studios will finally see Spider-Man get his first solo feature film in the MCU, but the Webslinger won't be fighting alone. He'll have the benefit of the heavy-hitting Iron Man on his side, with Peter Parker being mentored by the genius/billionaire/playboy/philanthropist known as Tony Stark.
But the word on the street hints that Iron Man won't be sticking around this franchise past the first movie, allowing Spidey to team up with yet another superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
When Spider-Man actor Tom Holland was asked about who he'd like to team up with in the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel by the Toronto Sun, he was surprisingly forthcoming.
"For me? It would be Ant-Man," Holland said. "I think we could have a really fun time with Spider-Man and Ant-Man. A mini-Spider-Man could be really interesting and so cool. Swinging from that Coke bottle to that glass [he gestures to a coffee table in front of him], but making it look like Manhattan would be insane. It would be a really amazing way to start off the movie. You see Spider-Man swinging around in like Rome or something and he suddenly grows and it turns out he was on a model."

With rumors that a lot of the original actors from the early days of the MCU might be riding into the sunset, Ant-Man might be the perfect candidate for the Homecoming sequel. Barring the obvious comparisons (y'know, bugs), Holland and Ant-Man actor Paul Rudd would probably have a great comedic rapport.
Plus Ant-Man probably has a bone to pick with Spidey from the airport battle in Captain America: Civil War.
We'll see what the future holds, but for now we can look forward to an entertaining team up with the Avengers' bankroller when Spider-Man: Homecoming debuts in theaters.
