The day Chainsaw Man fans have been waiting for (at least, fans in Japan) is right around the corner, as the upcoming Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will soon hit theaters. But before Japanese fans get to see the film on the big screen, and before US fans have to wait another month to watch the movie, the cast, crew, and some very special guests will get to witness Reze Arc at the world premiere. US fans are counting down the weeks until Reze Arc hits theaters on domestic shores, but Japanese fans only have days to wait.

The official X (formerly Twitter) account for Chainsaw Man recently revealed Reze Arc‘s world premiere date, and it’s incredibly close. The very lucky people in attendance will get to see Chainsaw Man’s Reze Arc before anyone else on September 15th, with the film then opening in Japanese theaters on September 19th. Reze Arc‘s premiere will take place at a currently unknown TOHO Cinema in Tokyo. As well as the cast and crew of the movie, the premiere will also host 140 fans who sign up through an online application form. The 140 guests will be drawn at random from a lottery.
Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc Unleashes Exclusive Premiere Ahead of Release Date
As the select 140 Japanese fans get to watch Reze Arc three days early on September 15th, US fans will be green with envy, as we all have to wait over a month after the world premiere to see the film. Reze Arc opens in US theaters on October 29th. Just as Denji will have to fight against his feelings for Reze, aka The Bomb Devil, US fans will have to fight against online spoilers in the weeks leading up to October 29th.
Reze Arc is the continuation of MAPPA’s insanely successful Chainsaw Man anime. Based on the hit Shonen Jump manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto, Season 1 premiered in 2022 and quickly became a fan favorite. Fujimoto’s manga already has a devout cult following, but MAPPA’s anime blew the franchise’s popularity through the roof. Even with its aesthetic changes to the source material, Season 1 was voted the Anime of the Year at the subsequent Crunchyroll Anime Awards.
Chainsaw Man’s new movie continues Denji’s quest for love and an easy life in a world filled with devils. The film will introduce Denji to his toughest foe yet, the Bomb Devil, who poses as the attractive love interest, Reze. As well as the blossoming romance between Denji and Reze, and the toxic relationship between Denji and Makima, the trailers and promos for Reze Arc have also showcased the phenomenal action that MAPPA is known for. If you thought Season 1 was impressive, expect things to go to the next level in Reze Arc.
