With the demons joining the frontlines, the Upper Ranks can’t be left far behind, and their obvious target will be the Hashira. Doma, the Upper Rank Two, was introduced in the Swordsmith Village Arc, and he immediately caught everyone’s eye with his eccentric personality. Just the difference in power between Akaza and the bottom three Upper Ranks is enough to prove that the Upper Three is on a whole other level. What’s shocking is that Doma is supposed to be even stronger than Akaza, the one who killed Kyojuro Rengoku. The main trailer already revealed that Doma will be fighting against Shinobu, and now the latest promo shares the first look at his terrifying powers.

The Blood Demon Art is unique to each demon who has awakened a special ability that grants them more power. The Upper Moons are some of the strongest demons, who each possess horrifying Blood Demon Art, and Doma is no different. Although he has long since made his debut, the anime didn’t so much as show a glimpse of his abilities. However, in the latest promotional video of the Infinity Castle film, we see the surroundings being covered in ice as he fights against Shinobu. This is only a small teaser of his powers, but his real abilities are exactly what you’d expect from someone even more powerful than Hashira.

As we are aware, each Blood Demon Art is somehow related to the demon’s personality or their past as a human, so we will eventually learn what Doma’s powers signify. His sadistic nature makes him appear more creepy and disturbing than other demons. However, that’s also part of what makes him a great villain, one who cares about nothing but inflicting pain on others.

Even though he’s fighting a Hashira, Doma is unfazed and almost too overconfident in himself. However, that overconfidence is backed by the kind of power that’s rarely ever seen. Doma aggressively feeds upon women to gain more strength, and that’s exactly why Akaza looks down upon him. All his efforts didn’t go to waste, since the Infinity Castle will unveil the true extent of his abilities. Despite Doma’s abilities, the Hashira Training Arc already revealed that Shinobu has a backup plan to take the demon down, and we will find out in the first installment of the trilogy.
