Marvel and manga have crossed over quite a bit in recent years, with Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man meeting Ultraman, Deadpool teaming up with My Hero Academia’s All Might, and even the Avengers fighting against the monstrosities of Attack on Titan. While the partnership between Marvel and Shonen Jump came to a close earlier this year, this fact doesn’t seem to be stopping the two companies from finding new ways to intersect. In one of the biggest X-Men books releasing today, one of the most powerful mutants of the Marvel Universe found her way into the supernatural shonen series that has become a major player in the anime realm.

In the latest issue of Storm: Earth’s Mightiest Mutant, issue #4, Ororo Monroe finds herself fighting against a version of her mother from an alternate reality. Mother N’Dare might be Storm’s mother from another world, but you’d hardly know it from looking at her, thanks to sporting a space suit that hides her identity. While the mother and daughter are fighting, the former is attempting to protect Storm from her “dangerous universe,” ultimately sending her spiraling through alternate universes. While being flung through new realities, Storm is shown flying through a universe dubbed “The Multiverse Cluster of Magic And Death.” In this universe, Sukuna can be seen floating above his path of destruction, clearly depicting Jujutsu Kaisen’s Shibuya Incident Arc. While we don’t get the opportunity to see Earth’s Mightiest Mutant take on the King of Curses, it does make the supernatural shonen universe canon to Marvel Comics, as you can see below.

A Jujutsu Kaisen/Marvel Crossover

To date, there hasn’t been an official Jujutsu Kaisen/Marvel crossover, though this certainly hasn’t stopped the comic book universe from dipping its toes into the anime universe in the past. While no anime series features the likes of the Avengers, the X-Men, or any of the other superheroes, we have seen Marvel’s mightiest crime fighters receive anime adaptations. In the early oughts, Studio Madhouse created anime series based on the likes of Iron Man, the X-Men, Wolverine, and Blade. Unfortunately, Madhouse has had its hands full recently with the likes of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End to return to this previous universe.
Throughout the history of the Marvel Universe, there have been countless times where artists secretly paid tribute to anime characters. Figures from series such as Dragon Ball, One Piece, and many others have made an appearance. Ironically enough, later this year, a new Marvel/manga crossover will arrive as Silent Mobius x Avengers is planning to hit retailers in 2026. Silent Mobius creator Kia Asamiya is working on this unique crossover, proving that there is still a desire to see the worlds of manga and Marvel collide. As the anime industry continues to skyrocket in popularity, it seems as though it will only be a matter of time before
