One-Punch Man fans have been worried for months, and they had every right to be. It’s been some time since we saw the first trailer that hinted at the return of Saitama, Garou, and their respective allies in the Hero Association and the Monster Association. While it’s been known for quite some time that the “hero for fun” would return this October, many anime enthusiasts were left worried that the anime’s return might suffer a delay from the lack of updates. Luckily, the tides have turned as One-Punch Man’s third season has unleashed a brand new trailer.

The brand new trailer might only be around fifteen seconds in length, but it finally gives anime fans signs of life for the One-Punch Man anime. Despite having showings at conventions like Anime Expo and Anime NYC, the hard-hitting franchise hadn’t shown new footage since the original trailer for season three. Along with the new trailer, which you can check out below, the highly anticipated release date has arrived, giving fans a better idea of when we can expect season three to hit the screen. Saitama and Garou will return on October 5th, meaning we only have to wait a few more weeks to return to the world created by “ONE”.
One-Punch Man Hits Back
Alongside featuring fan-favorite anime heroes and villains, the new trailer gives viewers a preview of the third season’s opening theme song. Performed by JAM Project and BABYMETAL, “Get No Satisfied” will be the song to ring in each new episode of Saitama’s big comeback. The ending theme, while not featured here, is performed by artist Makoto Furukawa and is titled “The Light, That’s There.”
J.C. Staff has provided a new description for season three, and the series as a whole, that you can check out here: “Saitama is a man who started being a hero as a hobby.
After three years of intensive training, he gained the unbeatable power to defeat any enemy with a single blow. He joined the Hero Association, an organization for professional heroes, and is active every day alongside Genos, who becomes his apprentice through a strange turn of events. One day, monsters claiming to be from the Monster Association suddenly appear, and take the child of a Hero Association executive hostage. S-class heroes gather together and devise a plan to infiltrate the Monster Association’s hideout and rescue the hostage. Meanwhile, Garou, a “human monster” who was abducted by the Monster Association during a battle with the heroes, wakes up in the hideout.”
When last we left Saitama and Garou, the enemies were on two very different paths. As the titular character continues searching for an opponent who can withstand one of his blows, the hero killer has thrown in his lot with the creatures of the Monster Association. Looking quite different from his debut, Garou is working to become a worthy opponent to the protagonist who has yet to be beaten.
