The upcoming Titans TV series is coming together, and it looks like a core part of one of its heroes backstories will definitely be in it.

Omega Underground recently uncovered a new audition tape for the upcoming series, which seems to indicate that the Flying Graysons will be involved in the series. The tape shows Canadian actor Tim Campbell (Hollywoodland, Warehouse 13) auditioning for the role of Ben Crossland.

As fans have seen in earlier audition material for the series, the Crossland name is a stand-in for the Graysons. And while the scene refers to the family as a group of singers, that also appears to be a stand-in for the family's acrobatic careers.

The scene in the tape shows Ben conversing with a young "John Crossland", a pseudonym for Dick Grayson/Nightwing (Brenton Thwaites). The dialogue of the scene indicates that "John" is looking out at a crowd waiting for their performance, before Ben tells him that it's bad luck.

As of now, it's currently unclear exactly what significance the Flying Graysons will have in the show. It's pretty safe to assume that there will be some sort of flashback to their deaths, seeing as that is a huge motivation for Dick to become a hero. Recent reports have also suggested that Tony Zucco - the man who caused the Graysons' deaths - will be making some sort of appearance in the series.

Titans' cast is gradually beginning to take shape, with Thwaites being joined by Anna Diop as Starfire, Teagan Croft as Raven, Ryan Potter as Beast Boy, Lindsey Gort as Amy Rohrbach, and Alan Ritchson and Minka Kelly as DC duo Hawk and Dove.

Titans will premiere on DC's new digital streaming service in 2018.
