The game creator responsible for the Five Nights at Freddy's series released a new game that again features Freddy Fazbear, though not in the way that fans might expect.

Titled Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator, the game looks as though it's all about creating your favorite pizzas and flinging them into patrons' mouths. You get to design your own pizzas before moving onto the pizzeria where you feed the patrons, but it appears that there might be more to the game than meets the eye. The game is brand new having just released today, and we haven't had a chance to play through it yet, but many commenters are saying that the game isn't quite what it seems.

"Do not be tricked by the screenshots and trailer, I cannot say what happens, but it is amazing," one commenter wrote on the game's Steam page. "Download this game."

The description of the game paints it as a lighter experience for the holidays though, a description that follows a statement from Cawthon that hinted at the nature of his new game.

"In game-related news, I REFUSE to let an entire year go by without a game release, so I'm putting together something fun for all of you for the holidays," Cawthon wrote in a Steam post recently.

At the Cawthon made the statement, he wasn't sure where he'd release the game, but a Steam page for the pizzeria project is now up and running with a downloadable version of the game. It's completely free and was just released today, so it certainly seems worth looking at if you were fond of Cawthon's previous creations.

The release of the game follows an announcement from Cawthon back at the end of June that he was canning a project that he said could have been referred to as Five Nights at Freddy's 6. He hinted back then that he might try his hand at a "pizzeria tycoon game," and it looks like he's done just that.

Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator is now downloadable for free through Steam, so give it a shot and be one of the first to drop a review on Cawthon's new game.
