Destiny 2 Raid Boss Has An Awesome New Glitch
There have been some interesting exploits found within the world of Destiny 2, even a few to the [...]
Dubbed the "Destiny 2 Calus Cheese Glitch", the video above showcases the team of five entering the throne room. For replication purposes, it's recommended to do exactly as they do. They had one player stand near the blue brazier on the left rear platform, while the others set up shop near Calus. In perfect synchronized form, the team jumped up onto the Emperor's platform to shoot the giant chalice right out from his hands. The second he stood up, the 4 members that jumped up on the platform are wiped out completely when he stomps his weird looking foot down.
That leaves it up to the one that was at the rear, the one near the blue brazier. That player is shown in the video to be close enough to the brazier on the other end of the room in order to take damage. Once the damage begins, he went into the menu to change characters and stopped at the final confirmation page.

Just like any of these bigger post-game events, team work is the name of the game. Bungie has repeatedly stated that the mechanics are set up in a way that highly encourages teamwork and communication. This is no different. As the team in the video shows, effective communication and fluid execution is key. That fifth player that is in that menu option, the one hovering over the final confirmation page? That player is in charge of hitting the confirm option as soon as the countdown screen goes black for the reset. This move is very time sensitive and that fifth player needs to make sure they are paying attention, as seen in the team's video.
Though this clan, The Modfather Gaming group, has five players, they did notate that this same move can be made with 4-6 players - just one needs to be prepared to hit that reset to take advantage of the exploit. From there, the rest of the fight was much easier and is expected to be as such for other players.
This exploit hasn't been mass tested, which is important to remember for those Guardians looking to replicate the moves seen above. As the video title suggests, it's definitely "cheesy" but all is fair in love and exploits.
Destiny 2 is available now for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with a PC release slated for October 24th.
