If you were to come up with a list of some of the grimmest champions in League of Legends, chances are it would be both somewhat long -- this is a game that has multiple fear-based champions, after all -- and include a certain sphere-chucking mage. Say whatever you want about Syndra, but there's no argument that she's one of the more gloomy mid laners in the game, no surprise for a champion who's primary ability is called Dark Sphere.

One of the greatest traditions in League of Legends cosmetics is to turn such gloomy characters around by giving them a positive or, often, humorous skin that contrasts with the rest of their skin line. For example, Fiddlesticks might be the walking embodiment of all things terrifying, but that didn't stop him from getting the hilarious Suprise Party Fiddlestick skin, which is his most popular skin to this day -- even if Fiddle Me Timbers has the funniest name of them all.

It is in that spirit, then, that I present a fan's proposed addition to Syndra's suite of skins, Arcade Syndra. Do you want a cute Syndra? Well, this skin definitely delivers in spades. She has cat ears, a neon-colored outfit, and even throws little hearts instead of balls of darkness. Instead of pummeling your foes to death with seven orbs of pure darkness, you can no instead smother them with affection! The end result might still be the same -- a trip to the fountain, that is -- but the way you get there is just so much more adorable that it's hard to be mad, even when it happens to you.

WWG's Matt Best fell in love with the new skin on sight. "Sign me up for Arcade Syndra," He said. "I'm already a huge fan of Arcade Miss Fortune as my go-to skin with her. Arcade Syndra has a ton of potential to be a very fun and intriguing skin. Pixelated spheres as well as arcade animations? That's something I want immediately. The Arcade skin line is, well, really hard to screw up. Throw some retro noises and a bunch of funky colors in there and you've got yourself a fine and dandy skin."
