3 Ways PlayStation Responded to the Xbox One X Launch
PlayStation had a few things to say about the release of the Xbox One X on Nov. 7, some of them [...]
Congrats to the Xbox One X
Congrats on the big day!
— PlayStation (@PlayStation) November 7, 2017
The only tweet that came from the main PlayStation Twitter account on the release day of the Xbox One X was one that was made in good faith, a big "congrats" on the birth of the Xbox One X.
With many people aligning themselves with either Xbox or PlayStation and many more in a group asking why the consoles can't just get along, the response from PlayStation is a welcome change from both sides' fans waving their flags. Those who comment seemed to feel the same with jokes like "now kiss" filling the replies.
But outside of the congratulations, PlayStation also had other comments to be made through their other Twitter accounts.

Just like they did for the release of the Nintendo Switch, the PlayStation Italy Twitter account put out their own image to commemorate the Xbox One X's big day. The "welcome" that was given to the Xbox One X from the Twitter account had a slight catch to it. Sure, they're welcoming the Xbox One X to the console fray, but the "X" takes quite the non-Xbox twist with the PlayStation's controller scheme hijacking the image. With their comment on the new Xbox and their previous tweet about the Nintendo Switch, the Italian PlayStation account looks like a branch of PlayStation that's not pulling any punches, but they're not the only regional account that had something to say about the Xbox One X.

In a similar move to the PS4 promotion during the release of the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation UK also revealed that they had a new bundle available that matches the price of the Xbox One X while also including a couple of games.
As reported earlier when the Xbox One X released, the tweet from the PlayStation UK account revealed a new PS4 Pro bundle that came with several console exclusives including the latest Frozen Wilds DLC for Horizon: Zero Dawn. But with the price of the new bundle placed alongside a winking face, it was pretty clear why PlayStation decided to unveil their flashy new exclusive-filled bundle on Nov. 7 of all days.
