Back in May, to celebrate the launch of the new game DOOM: The Dark Ages, McFarlane Toys released their first ever Elite Edition 7-inch scale action figure of the Doom Slayer himself. Now a new rendition of the Doom Slayer with the Phalanx Skin is set to be released on September 23rd. It will include a Phalanx Skin redemption code that you can use in the game. If you want to get your hands on one, here’s what you need to know. UPDATE: The figure is live! Direct links added below.

First off, if you were expecting this one to be an Elite version like the previous Doom Slayer figure, youโre going to be disappointed. McFarlane Toys took to X to clarify, stating that the anticipated figure will not be an Elite Edition, but will instead be a regular line item priced at $34.99. Then again, that means you won’t be paying $60 for the figure like you would if it was Elite, so this might be a good thing. If you’re down to add it to your collection, you’ll be able to grab one here at Entertainment Earth and here on Amazon starting today September 23rd.

McFarlane Toys Doom Slayer (Phalanx Skin) Figure / $34.99 / Pre-orders launch September 23rd at 12pm ET.
DOOM: The Dark Ages follows the release of DOOM Eternal, with the events happening before DOOM (2016). The game is said to provide an โorigin story to the Doom Slayerโs rageโ. With new mechanics and a large cinematic campaign, itโs an ambitious new installment from id Software, but the reviews seem to indicate that they pulled it off. DOOM: The Dark Ages is available on PC, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5 for $69.99, but if youโre a Game Pass subscriber, you can play the title for no extra charge.
Although the game earned a pretty solid Metacritic score upon launch, it did have some glitches and bugs that fans took note of, hoping they would soon be fixed. An update in August took care of those, or at least most likely did, as the devs tackled multiple issues across the gaming board. From balancing weapons, updating the Enemy AI, adding checkpoints and encounters, and more, this game should feel pretty different from its first launch. If you tried it out and put it down, consider picking it up again. Hopefully some of those issues have been fixed, and youโll have an even better time with the Doom Slayer. A full list of all updates made in August can be found right here.
