Michael Keaton may be known for his work with DC Comics’ Batman, but the iconic actor will soon be remembered for another superhero role. Later this summer, Spider-Man: Homecoming will make its way into theaters, and Keaton will make his debut as the Vulture. The film’s star-studded cast has gushed over the actor’s involvement, and now one of the stars is sharing a hilarious tidbit about Keaton and his set behavior.
Apparently, when it comes down to it, Keaton just cannot stop making Batman references.
“He’s a badass,” Holland said about Keaton. “We have a fight in the movie and I punch him. He turns around and says [in a deep voice], ‘I’m Batman.’ He kept doing Batman quotes on set.”
Later on, Holland also said he got some advice about how to handle such a public superhero role. “We had a good conversation about how important it is to keep the superhero role grounded in reality.”
A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.
The cast features Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, with Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr.. It also includes Jon Favreau, Martin Starr, Kenneth Choi, Michael Mando, Selenis Leyva, Isabella Amara, Jorge Lendeborg, Jr., JJ Totah, Hannibal Buress, and Jacob Batalon.
