X-Men TV Series The Gifted Trailer Released

It's here! Legion may have caught everyone's attention with its take on X-Men, but Fox will not be beat out by the first series. The universe will get another take when the network rolls out The Gifted later this year. And, now, the show's first full trailer has been released.

When the teaser trailer was released last week, fans also learned some exciting news about The Gifted. Fox has picked up the show for a full series, confirming previous reports circulating about the network's interest in the show.

Gifted was developed by Matt Nix who wrote the series' pilot episode. X-Men movies veteran Bryan Singer will direct. Nix and Singer, along with Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, Jim Chory, and Jeph Loeb will all serve as executive producers. The pilot stars Redford, Stephen Moyer, Amy Acker, Jamie Chung, Sean Teale, Natalie Alyn Lind, Emma Dumont, Percy Hynes White, and Coby Bell.

"Gifted" will be the second X-Men television project to enter production following the drama Legion which has been renewed for a second season.

Action-adventure family drama THE GIFTED, from Marvel, tells the story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive. Written by Matt Nix (APB, "Burn Notice"), directed by Bryan Singer (the "X-Men" franchise") and executive-produced by Nix, Singer, Lauren Shuler Donner ("X-Men: Apocalypse," "X-Men: Days of Future Past," "The Wolverine"), Simon Kinberg ("X-Men: Apocalypse," "X-Men: Days of Future Past"), Jeph Loeb ("Marvel's Daredevil," "Marvel's Jessica Jones") and Jim Chory ("Marvel's Daredevil," "Marvel's Jessica Jones"), the series stars Stephen Moyer (SHOTS FIRED, "True Blood") and Amy Acker ("Person of Interest").
