Agents of SHIELD: Coulson And May Go In For A Kiss In Hot Potato Soup Clip
Is this it? Is this finally the moment that Coulson and May kiss?
They've been inching toward a romantic relationship all season long, though at a glacial pace. However, now that Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) has been replaced with an LMD and Dr. Radcliffe has told his newest android of May's secret desire to be with the former Director of SHIELD (Clark Gregg), May LMD is ready to take her relationship with Phil Coulson to the next level.
In this clip from next Tuesday's "Hot Potato Soup" episode, Coulson opens up to May while looking at books in a library. He tells her about his desire to travel to Ireland one day and read Ulysses—a novel written by James Joyce—in pubs.
"Maybe we should go together," May says to him. The comment piques his interest, and he crosses the room, closing the distance between them. She looks longingly into his eyes and asks, "Did you mean it when you said that you're ready for whatever comes next?"
They make googly eyes at each other and begin to lean in for a possible kiss.
Agents Sam and Billy Koenig (Patton Oswalt) are hunted down to get at the Darkhold book, and only Coulson and the team can save them before the clock ticks out.
