Disney Channel has put out a new promo for Marvel's Doctor Strange, and it provides the 411 on his magical cloak and offers some new footage.
In order to defend our world from those that practice dark magic, Doctor Strange relies on three magical items: Eye of Agamotto, Book of Vishanti, and Cloak of Levitation.
The Eye of Agamotto is a mystical amulet that Doctor Strange wears around his neck. It can increase his intelligence, allowing him to quickly recall a vast array of spells, and can give off a blinding light that dispells disguises and illusions.
The Book of Vishanti contains all of the defensive spells the good doctor will need, and the book itself, which is indestructible, can be used as a dark magic deterrent.
Aside from allowing the wearer to levitate, the Cloak of Levitation — which has a mind of its own — can be commanded to fly to a specific destination, retrieve an item, and attack/enwrap an evildoer.
From Marvel comes DOCTOR STRANGE, the story of world-famous neurosurgeon Dr. Stephen Strange whose life changes forever after a horrific car accident robs him of the use of his hands. When traditional medicine fails him, he is forced to look for healing, and hope, in an unlikely place – a mysterious enclave known as Kamar-Taj. He quickly learns that this is not just a center for healing but also the front line of a battle against unseen dark forces bent on destroying our reality. Before long Strange – armed with newly acquired magical powers – is forced to choose whether to return to his life of fortune and status or leave it all behind to defend the world as the most powerful sorcerer in existence. Join Strange on his dangerous, mystifying, and totally mind-bending journey.
