Fans who have not yet had a chance to experience Show Pieces, the series of short films from the mind of comic book legend Alan Moore, can do so now, via the horror-specific streaming service Shudder.
Show Pieces -- an exclusive clip from which can be seen above -- debuted yesterday on Shudder, giving audiences their first opportunity to watch this British anthology, Moore's first work written for the screen.
To make it a reality, he collaborated with photographer and director Mitch Jenkins, giving Moore's vision a functional reality in the same way decades of comic book artists have taken the iconography of Moore's scripts and brought them to life.
The series follows a man who finds himself in a gentlemen's club after his death. Five installments -- Act of Faith, Jimmy's End, Upon Reflection, A Professional Relationship, and His Heavy Heart -- are available on Shudder, and Moore has written a feature film titled The Show which, if made, will continue the story.
Show Pieces was originally funded on Kickstarter and had a limited release in 2012.
From the mind of legendary writer Alan Moore (creator of Watchmen, V For Vendetta and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen) and acclaimed photographer and director Mitch Jenkins comes the multi-layered film anthology Show Pieces. The five chapters of Show Pieces creates a tapestry of madness and murderous misdeeds intersecting to form an original noir thriller.
