Beavis And Butthead’s New Season Brings Back The Series’ Greatest Villain

Beavis And Butthead is back for its revival’s third season, and once again, the surreal animated series is focusing on both the present and the future. One of the biggest changes that Mike Judge and crew made with this animated revival was focusing on the older iteration of the “dynamic duo.” With Butthead and Beavis now adults, still barely clinging to life in a ratty apartment, season three recently brought back a character who has yet to be seen in this future timeline. Needless to say, said character has a complicated relationship with the boys.

Warning. If you have yet to check out Beavis And Butthead’s latest episode, “Plumber’s Helpers,” be forewarned that we’ll be diving into spoiler territory. When Butthead and Beavis receive a knock on their door, they are made aware of the fact that one of their neighbors has lost a ring down the drain. With the pair being unable to figure out how to get said ring, in an effort to finally get laid, a plumber is called, who turns out to be none other than Todd. Todd has a long history with the protagonists, since Beavis and Butthead look up to what might be considered the show’s biggest antagonist. Hoping to get in Todd’s good graces, the pair offer their services to help out with Todd’s business, “Todd’s Plumbing.”

Todd Returns With Original Voice Actor

Not only did Todd return, who you can see in the poster above, but voice actor Toby Huss returned to voice the bully once again. Huss made headlines recently thanks to another Mike Judge project, taking over for the role of Dale in the King of The Hill revival. Following the tragic passing of original voice actor Johnny Hardwick, Huss had big shoes to fill but the fourteenth season still hit it big when it was released on Hulu.

As for Beavis And Butthead, Todd’s comeback might have seen them seeing stars, but it placed the titular characters in a rotten scenario. Wanting to impress Todd, the duo was sent to the sewer to perform tasks to help his plumbing business, which were normally performed by machinery. Despite once again being treated poorly by Todd, this fact didn’t stop Butthead and Beavis from still looking up to their bully/idol. So far, the revival has done an amazing job of balancing the present and the future, with each version of the pair finding new hilarious story beats to give fans.

In our review of Beavis And Butthead season three, we noted that the recent episodes lived up to what came before them: “Beavis and Butt-Head continues its trajectory of being a perfect episodic comedy series with Season 3. Each episode tells its stories, and everything is reset for the main duo by the time the next episode starts. They are cartoons in every sense of the word, but there’s a lot of time and attention paid to make sure that they are still fun to watch after all this time. It’s really just incredible in how they have managed to pull that off this many years in. Beavis and Butt-Head is only really getting started from here.”
