Everything You Need To Know About Iron Fist From New York Comic Con 2016

The Netflix / Marvel panel at New York Comic Con 2016 gave us some very exciting, breaking news about what's to come including the premiere of the first official Iron Fist trailer, details on The Punisher series, and a huge villain reveal for The Defenders.

ComicBook's own Kofi Outlaw was there, giving us the latest reveals for Iron Fist, The Punisher, The Defenders, and more:

"Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb came out to work the crowd (wearing a silly light up costume and Iron Fist tee-shirt). He told the crowd that in the Ferris Bueller spirit, until he tells us to leave, don't leave. We should probably expect some big surprises to come.

Loeb then split the crowd in order to have them chant "Marvel's / Iron / Fist / on Netflix!" combining fan love with free marketing and promotion. He then genuinely thanked the fans for all the support of the Netflix MCU, and thanked the people of Marvel and Netflix who make it happen."

The panel began with Iron Fist and Finn Jones taking the stage, including a tease, an official first trailer, and a bunch of clips for the upcoming series, that has officially wrapped filming as of yesterday morning.

Next up, The Punisher himself surprised the crowd and took the stage, revealing that the solo series started filming a week ago, and confirming that Deborah Ann Woll will be reprising her role as Karen Page from Daredevil in Bernthal's solo series.

Finn Jones returned to the stage, to introduce "some friends I've been hanging out with..." The Defenders teaser played as Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones) took the stage as Sigourney Weaver casually walked out confirming that she will be playing the big bad.

Daredevil seasons 1 and 2, Jessica Jones season 1, and Luke Cage season 1 are all available on Netflix. Iron Fist will premiere on March 17, 2017. The Defenders expected later in the year. The Punisher does not have a release date yet.
