Doctor Strange's newest adversary Mister Misery gets a perverse pleasure out of causing chaos in Strange's life, though it is in keeping with his whole "misery" theme. His latest move has left previous patients needing the Doctor's services once again, and this time he's got some help.
Spoilers incoming for Doctor Strange #18, so if you haven't read the issue yet you've been warned.
Strange enlists the help of the Mighty Thor, though upon arriving she's surprised to learn that it's actually her human skills that the doctor requires. Well, partially anyway. He reveals he know her identity, calling her Dr. Foster, and requires her skills to remove the tumors that Mister Misery has placed back in his old patients.
The only problem is that after one successful removal, Misery starts to activate all of the tumors at once. Strange advises Thor to triage the weakest first, but Thor commits to operating on all of the patients at once. The only way she can do that is to move like literal Lightning. She tells the Doctor to cover his ears and with that, she becomes invisible to the naked eye as she moves from one patient to the next. She's moving so fast that the scalpels she's using to operate are melting, and says at one point "didn't even know I could move at these speeds...."
Thor was already incredibly strong. Now she adds one more powerful tool to her arsenal. You can see the spoiler images in the gallery.
Doctor Strange is written by Jason Aaron with art by Chris Bachalo and a cover by Patrick Brown. Inking on the book is Al Vey, Tim Townsend, John Livesay, and Victor Olazaba, with VC's Cory Petit lettering.
