He is one of the most popular manga characters who proves himself to be unlike other demons that crave destruction. He is currently in the Golden Land, which used to be Denken’s hometown before everything there was transformed into gold.
The second season’s finale ends on a major cliffhanger, confirming that Frieren’s party will reach the rumored land of Gold and reunite with Denken before encountering Mahat. So far, the third season of the anime has only confirmed the Golden Land Arc, and it’s unclear if it’s going to adapt more arcs from the manga.
