Hazbin Hotel Season 2 Releases First Trailer

The Hazbin Hotel has had a big year so far, and the second season hasn’t even arrived yet. With seasons three and four already confirmed to hit Amazon Prime Video, October 29th will see the release of season two’s first two episodes on the streaming service, with two additional installments landing each following week. Luckily, to give fans a better idea of what is to come for Charlie Morningstar and her underworld brethren, Amazon and SpindleHorse have released all-new footage for the series’ return next month. Taking a far more serious approach to Hazbin Hotel’s big comeback, it looks like the stakes are being raised within the Hellaverse.

When last we left Charlie and her friends, they were able to fight back the forces of heaven, killing the nefarious Adam, and working toward their potential redemption in the process. Scoring a major victory for the Hazbin Hotel, the previous season finale still had plenty of hanging plotlines that are sure to cause Morningstar problems in season two. Sir Pentious is trapped in heaven, Alastor the Radio Demon will have his background further explored, and it seems that Charlie’s mother, Lilith, will play a far more significant role in the second season. Housing eight episodes in its second season, Hazbin Hotel will have some major events to cover in a limited amount of time.

One of the biggest villains that appears in the season two trailer is Vox, one of hell’s overlords, who has had a long-running feud with Alastor the Radio Demon. Clearly, Vox will be busy in the upcoming season as he appears to be assembling an army of his own, though it will ultimately be interesting to see what his goals might be in putting together this collection of demons. While this trailer gives us plenty of scenery to chew on, Vivienne Medrano has been hinting at what is to come in the second season for quite some time online.

This summer, Medrano hyped up the next season, stating that season two is looking to be a much bigger affair than the premiere season that introduced Charlie and company, “Honestly, it’s just the magnitude of the season. We wanted it to go bigger, and so this season has a lot more action, some really cool, unique challenges, and some songs that are just such fun, diverse genres that are a little bit more visual. We were like, ‘Let’s take this on!’ It feels so big and grand. Also, we knew everybody better, and me, Sam, and Andrew [Standler] have a well-oiled machine in terms of how we work together. I don’t know. I can’t hype it up more than just that it’s gonna be bigger and grander, and there is a lot more action, which, personally, I like action.”

Hazbin Hotel won’t be alone on Amazon Prime Video, as its sister series, Helluva Boss, is also coming to the platform. While the casts of both shows assembled for the big news in a unique YouTube video, the Hellaverse is planning on creating a crossover that fans might not see coming.
