Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is taking the opportunity to revisit the Chunin Exams in its anime, while further exploring the battle against the Kara Organization and its new leader, Code. Recently, fans of the popular Shonen franchise had a discussion with regards to what they are hoping to see in the future, especially with the manga seeing the return of creator Masashi Kishimoto as a writer. With the Shonen franchise covering decades of history within the world of the Hidden Leaf Village, there are definitely plenty of avenues left to explore.

Currently, the anime is telling original stories that deviate from the manga itself, and it might be quite some time before the television series once again dives into the story of Boruto and Team 7 battling against Kara. In the near future, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations will have a panel at the upcoming Jump Festa, which is sure to have some revelations with regards to what the Shonen franchise has in store for its future.
