One-Punch Man Season 3 Confirms Release Date for Next Major Update

One-Punch Man made a very divisive return for Season 3 of the anime last year, and now it’s set to reveal a major update about the anime’s future later this Fall. One-Punch Man has had a very rough go at things when it comes to its anime adaptation over the last decade. As part of its celebration for its tenth anniversary milestone, the anime made a comeback for its third season. Unfortunately following a divisive response to the second season, the third season of episodes weren’t received any better than before.

One-Punch Man Season 3 wrapped up the first half of its run last year, and quickly confirmed that it would be returning for a second wave of episodes sometime in 2027. But while there have not been many updates as to the new season’s current progress as of this time, there’s going to be a major update shared for the few fans lucky to be in attendance at a panel coming during New York Comic Con 2026 this October.

One-Punch Man Season 3 Panel Announced for New York Comic Con 2026

One-Punch Man Season 3 will be hosting a special panel during the New York Comic Con 2026 weekend on Saturday, October 10th. It will feature Garou voice actor Hikaru Midorikawa making his first ever appearance at the convention, and is promising to have the next major update for what’s coming next in the season during the panel as well. While it’s yet to be revealed what kind of update could be coming for the new season, it’s the first notable update for these new episodes since they were first confirmed in 2025.

This is part of why fans continue to worry about the state of One-Punch Man‘s anime future thus far too. There was a lot of faith in the anime ahead of the third season’s debut as fans were really hoping that it would somehow bounce back from the second season. But with the same studio behind that divisive season coming back for the third, unfortunately it was not enough to save any of the faith fans had. Especially given that the third season had one rough episode after another.

What’s Going on With One-Punch Man Season 3?

One-Punch Man Season 3 Part 2 is currently scheduled for a release sometime in 2027, but has yet to confirm any concrete release date as of the time of this writing. There have been very few updates since the second half was announced to be in the works, but the anime has been breaking all sorts of records with fans despite this. There’s still a lot of faith from fans that the anime will bounce back from its poor reputation, but there are just as many signs that this won’t be the case.

One-Punch Man Season 3 is also in the midst of one of the anime’s longest arcs to date as the heroes face off against the Monster Association, and there’s quite a lot more to work through before this arc reaches its end. It’s possible that the anime might not even cover it all by the end of this third season, so make sure to catch up with it all now streaming with Hulu in the meantime just in case it does.
