While the Solo Leveling: Ragnarok webtoon continues its indefinite hiatus, the novel has already bid farewell to fans. Written by Daul, the series serves as the official spin-off of the original Solo Leveling franchise. It follows Jinwoo’s son, Sung Juho, in an alternate universe where he awakens his powers and fights against cosmic beings. Thanks to the popularity of the original series, Ragnarok became a massive hit after its release and continues to grow in popularity. While the Korean version of the novel ended last year, the English translation of the novel returned to Tapas earlier this month with final chapters after it went on hiatus in September last year.

However, even though the novel has also been concluded on Tapas, that’s far from the end of the series. Following Anime NYC this month, the official X handle of Ize Press confirmed that the Solo Leveling: Ragnarok novel is getting its first-ever English print in the U.S. While the release date hasn’t been confirmed in the post, we can expect an announcement by the end of the year or in the first half of 2027. In July this year, Ize Press also released the webtoon’s first volume in print, and it has already confirmed the release dates of the second and third volumes.
When Will Solo Leveling: Ragnarok Webtoon Return?
The webtoon went on an indefinite hiatus earlier this year after the second season finale. Webtoon artists often take months of breaks between seasons to prepare for the weekly serialization. However, while the hiatus between the first and second seasons wasn’t nearly long enough, Season 3 will have a major change. The reason Season 3 is taking so much longer is that the lead artist, Jin, will be replaced following his enlistment in the mandatory military service.
Since it typically lasts for 18-21 months, the publishers can’t wait that long for Jin to return. Since there haven’t been any official updates on the new artist and the webtoon’s return, it’s impossible to determine when it will return. The first two seasons are currently available on Tapas, where we can expect the upcoming season to drop after the webtoon is released in South Korea.
Solo Leveling: Ragnarok Deserves Its Own Anime
While the webtoon is still ongoing, the novel has reached its conclusion, so it’s about time it also gets an anime adaptation. Solo Leveling: Ragnarok not only introduces new characters but also brings back some of the most beloved characters from the original story to keep fans hyped.
Additionally, the series is more than popular enough, with a huge fanbase who will be thrilled to follow the journey of Jinwoo’s son. However, since the original anime hasn’t wrapped up the story yet, it’s uncertain if Ragnarok will get an anime adaptation before that.
