Epic Games Store’s Final Free Games of September 2025 Now Available

The final round of free games on the Epic Games Store for the month of September 2025 are now available to download. For the most part, September has been a pretty strong month on EGS that has seen titles like Monument Valley, Monument Valley 2, Ghostrunner 2, and more given out for nothing whatsoever. Unfortunately, this momentum isn’t continuing at the end of the month as this final round of freebies is one that many Epic Store users likely aren’t familiar with.

Starting today, the Epic Games Store is giving out Eastern Exorcist and Jorel’s Brother and the Most Important Game of the Galaxy for nothing at all. Both games are quite different from one another both in terms of genre and rating, as one is a mature action game, while the other is a story-centric title aimed more for kids. In total, Epic users will save a little over $30 from these games being free. They’re set to be available from now until next week on October 2nd at 11am ET, at which point they’ll return to their normal retail value.

Eastern Exorcist

Originally released in 2021, Eastern Exorcist is a 2D, side-scrolling action RPG. It comes from developer Wildfire Games and tasks players with fighting against hordes of demons. Its world and aesthetic are meant to resemble Chinese artwork, which gives it quite a unique look when compared to similar games.

Although Eastern Exorcist might not be that well-known, those who have played it seem to enjoy it. The game boasts a 4 out of 5 star rating on the Epic Games Store, and conversely has a “Very Positive” rating on Steam from users. If you’re looking for a new 2D action game to check out, this could very well be worth a shot.

Jorelโ€™s Brother and The Most Important Game of the Galaxy

Jorel’s Brother and the Most Important Game of the Galaxy might seem like a strange game with a very long name, but it’s actually based on a popular cartoon from Brazil. This old-school adventure game sees players controlling the titular Jorel’s Brother. The story is spread across three episodes, with all three being included in this “Complete Edition” that Epic is doling out.

Again, even though it doesn’t have much name recognition, Jorel’s Brother and the Most Important Game of the Galaxy has pretty good user reviews. It also features a “Very Positive” rating designation on Steam, which means that this is a good game to check out if you enjoy similar titles like Grim Fandango, Day of the Tentacle, or The Secret of Monkey Island.
