Hereโ€™s a look at every major Xbox release in October 2025.

25) Digimon Story: Time Stranger

  • Release Date: October 3rd, 2025
  • Other Platforms: PC, PlayStation

It’s been a few years since we got a new Digimon Story, but early reports are positive about Time Stranger. The RPG takes you on a journey between worlds, and even sends you back in time. Add in monster-catching, turn-based battles, and more than 450 Digimon, and you have an excited fanbase hoping this one lives up to the hype.

24) Finding Paradise

  • Release Date: October 8, 2025
  • Other Platforms: PC, Switch, PlayStation

Finding Paradise is the third game in the series that began with To the Moon, continuing the story of doctors Eva Rosalene and Neil Watts. Technically, Finding Paradise launched in 2017 on PC, but this port is finally coming to PlayStation and Xbox consoles. Hopefully, the Imposter Factory prequel will quickly follow it.

23) Yooka-Replaylee

  • Release Date: October 9, 2025
  • Other Platforms: PC, Switch, PlayStation

Yooka-Laylee was a solid platforming game when it launched a few years ago, but it had some kinks. Yooka-RePlaylee hopes to fix most of those issues with several tweaks and quality-of-life improvements. There might not be enough there to bring back veteran players, but it’ll be the best way to play Yooka-Laylee moving forward.

22) Battlefield 6

  • Release Date: October 10th, 2025
  • Other Platforms: PC, PlayStation

Despite the numbering, Battlefield 6 is the eighteenth game in the long-running shooter series. It’s supposedly one of the most expensive games ever made, with the devs hoping upgrades like the new “Kinesthetic Combatt System” pay off. Unfortunately, the bad taste of Battlefield 2042 might keep some away, but EA is clearly banking on this being a return to form for the series.

21) Little Nightmares III

  • Release Date: October 10th, 2025
  • Other Platforms: PC, Switch, PlayStation

Little Nightmares III might have switched developer hands from Tarsier Studios to Supermassive Games, but that doesn’t mean it’s losing the scares. After all, Supermassive has given us spooky games like Until Dawn and The Quarry. Plus, Supermassive is bringing online co-op to the party this time, which makes sense when you remember how much fun playing Until Dawn was with friends.

20) Just Dance 2026 Edition

  • Release Date: October 14, 2025
  • Other Platforms: Switch, PlayStation

In 2025, the Just Dance series isn’t surprising anyone. Ubisoft has been making these games for more than a decade now, and fans know exactly what’s coming. If you’re into rhythm game dancing, this is the one for you.

19) NASCAR 25

  • Release Date: October 14, 2025
  • Other Platforms: PlayStation

NASCAR 25 is the first game in the long-running series that’s being developed on the Unreal Engine. It’ll have a career mode that lets you work up through the ranks from a backyard garage to the pinnacle of the sport. Like Just Dance, if you pick this up, you know exactly what you’re getting into.

18) Ball x Pit

  • Release Date: October 15th, 2025
  • Other Platforms: PC, Switch, PlayStation

Ball x Pit is best described as a roguelike version of Brick-Breaker. It’s a little more than that, as you have more control over your “paddle” than you do in the classic arcade game, but that’s the gist of it. Add in a dash of city-builder to help progression, and you have an exciting game that meshes genres in brand-new ways.

17) Keeper

  • Release Date: October 17th, 2025
  • Other Platforms: PC

Keeper is the next game from Lee Petty and Double Fine Productions. This puzzle adventure doesn’t have any words, so it relies on gorgeous visuals to deliver its story. This is the lone console exclusive for Xbox players in October, so you’ll definitely want to check it out.

16) Overthrown

  • Release Date; October 16th, 2025
  • Other Platforms: PC, PlayStation

Overthrown has been out in early access on PC since late 2024, but it’s finally getting its 1.0 and console launch in October. This 1-6 player city builder is kind of like a more chaotic version of Stardew Valley, but in 3D.

15) Jurassic World Evolution 3

  • Release Date: October 21st, 2025
  • Other Platforms: PC, PlayStation

Evolution 3 is another construction and management sim from the team at Frontier Developments. Jurassic Park fans will also appreciate Jeff Goldblum coming back as Dr. Ian Malcolm for the campaign mode.

14) Ninja Gaiden 4

  • Release Date: October 21st, 2025
  • Other Platforms: PC, PlayStation

Ninja Gaiden 4 might be (mostly) ditching series protagonist Ryu Hayabusa in favor of a new character named Yakumo, but players should still expect a challenging action game. And while Ryu will be playable, it sounds like he’ll also serve as somewhat of an antagonist and measuring stick for Yakumo’s combat abilities.

13) Painkiller

  • Release Date: October 21st, 2025
  • Other Platforms: PC, PlayStation

Painkiller is a reboot of the classic FPS from the developers at Anshar Studios and publishers at 3D Realms. The 2004 original was the first game from People Can Fly, solidifying itself as a team that could make solid FPS games. Anshar Studios is best known for the cyberpunk isometric RPG Gamedec, so it’ll be fun to see what wrinkles they add.

12) Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2

  • Release Date: October 21st, 2025
  • Other Platforms: PC, PlayStation

Bloodlines 2 has been in development for what feels like decades at this point. It’s switched developers a few times and has been delayed several times. That said, it looks like it’s finally happening. Hopefully, the team at The Chinese Room can deliver the game that fans have been begging for since 2004, but it’s going to be a tall order.

11) Double Dragon Revive

  • Release Date: October 23rd, 2025
  • Other Platforms: PC, Switch, PlayStation

Double Dragon Revive is developed by Yuke’s and hopes to bring the series back to its roots. You’ll dive into classic side-scrolling beat-’em up action, with a new coat of paint. There are over 50 mission types, giving you plenty of variety as you work your way through the story.

10) Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted

  • Release Date: October 23rd, 2025
  • Other Platforms: PC, Switch, PlayStation

There’s not a ton to this release. It’s a better-looking version of the original Plants vs. Zombies, but it keeps the same basic gameplay. The big addition is full multiplayer compatibility, so you’ll be able to jump into games with your friends much more easily.

9) Once Upon a Katamari

  • Release Date: October 24th, 2025
  • Other Platforms: PC, Switch, PlayStation

This is the first original Katamari since 2011. That means a brand-new world to roll your sticky ball around as you try to make it as big as possible to please The King of All Cosmos. Creator Keita Takahashi has moved on, but it looks like Once Upon a Katamari‘s whimsy is still here in full effect.

8) Halls of Torment

  • Release Date: October 28th, 2025
  • Other Platforms: PC, PlayStation, mobile

If you’re looking for a new Vampire Survivors-like, Halls of Torment is worth a look. It features an art style reminiscent of classicย Diabloย games, while transforming it into an auto-attacker. It’d be great to see even more random loot, but Halls of Torment is a solid addition to the auto-attacker genre.

7) Wreakreation

  • Release Date: October 28th, 2025
  • Other Platforms: PC, PlayStation

When Dangerous Driving launched, fans were hoping it would revive the dormant Burnout series. To its credit, it was a solid game, but it wasn’t quite able to capture that same magic. Wreckreation is supposed to be the developer’s answer to Burnout Paradise, meaning a large open world to explore while blowing up your fellow cars. We’ll know soon if they can pull it off.

6) The Outer Worlds 2

  • Release Date: October 29th, 2025
  • Other Platforms: PC, PlayStation

The upcoming sequel to Obsidian’s “Fallout in space” looks to build on the original in nearly every way. This time, you’ll explore the wealthy colony of Arcadia and have to navigate the ongoing conflict between the totalitarian government and a megacorporation. So, pretty light fare. Despite being an Xbox studio, PS5 and PC players will also get to dive into Obsidian’s massive sequel.

5) ARC Raiders

  • Release Date: October 30th, 2025
  • Other Platforms: PC, PlayStation

The extraction shooter genre has gotten increasingly crowded over the last few years, so ARC Raiders is going to have a tough road to success. That said, it’s impressed players in early tests, so it has a better chance than other shooters coming to the genre relatively late.

4) Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake

  • Release Date: October 30th, 2025
  • Other Platforms: PC, Switch, PlayStation

This is a combo package of two all-time great RPGs. They’ve been remade in HD-2D, giving them the Octopath Traveler look. It’ll be a great way to jump in at the beginning of the long-running series.

3) Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection

  • Release Date: October 30th, 2025
  • Other Platforms: PC, Switch, PlayStation

Developer Digital Eclipse’s next compilation takes on the legendary Mortal Kombat series. This collection puts together the first four MK games and several spin-offs through the PlayStation 1 era. 2) Mina the Hollower

  • Release Date: October 31st, 2025
  • Other Platforms: PC, Switch, PlayStation

Mina the Hollower has been in the works for several years. The first non-Shovel Knight game from Yacht Club Games has impressed in early previews, mixing gameplay similar to The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and Ages with a Castlevania-inspired backdrop.

1) Tales of Xillia Remastered

  • Release Date: October 31st, 2025
  • Other Platforms: PC, Switch, PlayStation

Tales of Xillia Remastered is the next release in the ongoing Tales Remaster Project from Bandai Namco. Essentially, the publisher is capitalizing on the increased hype around the series and re-releasing most of its old games with a shiny coat of paint. Xillia was the most pre-ordered Tales game of all time when it originally launched, so it’s an exciting time to be a fan.
