Marvel Rivals is coming to a new platform in parallel with the release of some long-awaited new heroes. Marvel Rivals is one of the biggest video games out there and to some, that was a bit of a surprise. A lot of people wrote it off in the lead up to release as it was seen as an Overwatch knock-off but with Marvel heroes. However, the game is extremely fun and does plenty to separate itself from its contemporaries. There’s a lot of destruction, allowing players to take down buildings or walls that may be serving as cover for the enemy team, for instance.

NetEase has done a solid job of keeping Marvel Rivals supported with tons of content and ensuring players stay engaged. It’s one of the most played live-service games out there and has managed to pull in people who aren’t even big fans of this particular genre thanks to the appeal of the Marvel brand. With that said, fans have also stayed hungry because there are a plethora of Marvel characters who haven’t made their way into Marvel Rivals yet. There’s a long wish list of characters that fans want to see in the game and the team is looking to shorten that list with the newest season.
Marvel Rivals Is Coming to PS4 Alongside Daredevil and Angela’s Release
Marvel Rivals Season 4 has been revealed with a flashy cinematic that confirms the Man Without Fear himself, Daredevil, is coming to the game in September alongside Angela, a character created by Neil Gaiman and Todd McFarlane in the 90s. Daredevil has been one of the most requested characters for Marvel Rivals over the years and fans are finally getting their wish. It’s unclear exactly what his abilities will be, but he will almost certainly be a close-quarters fighter that relies on his martial arts skills and melee weapons.
Given Daredevil has been portrayed as having a sonar-esque vision, it wouldn’t be surprising if he could send out a pulse that spots enemies through walls as well. It’s also surprising to see that Deadpool isn’t in Marvel Rivals yet since he was leaked alongside Daredevil recently, but maybe he will come in the next batch of characters.
However, there is one other twist to this news. Marvel Rivals is coming to PS4 on September 12th alongside the release of Season 4. There’s currently no Xbox One or Nintendo Switch version, but the PS4 is a platform that is still filled with players who want in on the action. It will be interesting to see how well Marvel Rivals runs on PS4 as it’s hard to imagine this game not turning this 12 year old console into a jet engine.
