Following up on the debut of last week’s trailer, the Defenders social media account—as well as its individual characters’ accounts—has posted a new motion poster focusing on the characters and how their worlds are beginning to blend together.
The motion posters depict Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist in the environments of their future teammates. It’s a striking visual that takes each character out of their element while placing them in a setting familiar to the viewers of the four different Netflix series.
Matt Murdock waits at a bus stop that could either be Hell’s Kitchen or Harlem, with the familiar Trish Walker’s face adorning the bench advertisement. Luke Cage flexes and postures in front of the boxing ring in Fogwell’s gym with the familiar fight poster billing “Creel vs. Murdock” behind him.

Jessica Jones reads a tabloid while waiting in the rain outside of the Rand Enterprises lobby. There might be some miscommunication between the two as Danny Rand meditates in the hallway in front of her office—they probably just missed each other.

Each of those motion posters were tweeted from the accounts of which character they featured, while the Defenders account itself shows one depicting Matt Murdock catching an elevator inside the Rand Enterprises building.

If they’re all waiting for each other at different locations, this doesn’t bode well for their teamwork. They should have probably picked one neutral location and stuck with it.
Hopefully their communication skills improve when Defenders premieres on Netflix August 18.
