Pop culture has come to the Big Apple for New York Comic Con 2016, and ComicBook.com is there to bring you all of the breaking news.

New York Comic Con is the East Coast's biggest pop culture convention. The show hosts comics, graphic novels, anime, manga, video games, toys, movies and television with accompanying panels and autograph sessions. There are also sneak peek screenings for at films and television.

New York Comic Con 2016 marks the event's 11th year, having begun in February 2016. In that decade-plus of existence, the show has gornw to become second in size only to San Diego Comic-Con.

New York Comic Con is being attended by major industry players like Marvel Comics, DC Comics, 20th Century Fox, AMC, BBC America, Valiant Entertainment, Image Comics, Dark Horse Comics, Dynamite Entertainment, BOOM! Studios, The CW, Netflix, DreamWorks Animation, Hasbro, Funko, LEGO and more.

Today's major prevents include a Doctor Who panel, a panel for Kevin Smith's AMC series Comic Book Men, the world premiere of Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders, the new animated film featuring the voices classic Batman TV star Adam West and Burt Ward, plus a panel for the Starz series Ash vs. Evil Dead starring Bruce Campbell.
