Halloween this year was definitely a strange experience for everyone involved due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, but that definitely did not stop several WWE superstars from going all out with some awesome looks for the spooky holiday inspired by DC Comics heroes and villains, anime, horror icons and more. If there is any group that understands how strange of a year it’s been overall, it’s those who work for the WWE as wrestling entertainment has undergone some serious changes over the course of the year in order to combat the ongoing pandemic as best as they can.

This started out with moving to the WWE Performance Center and working without crowds for a short interim, and this was eventually followed with a move to the WWE Thunderdome where weekly episodes of Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown air alongside the ongoing pay-per-view events each month.

The WWE has been making several adjustments to not only comply with COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, but the later ease of them as well while reports of outbreaks backstage continued to make the worries even tougher. But it’s been a strange adjustment period for the the superstars and fans alike as everyone tries their best to adjust to the new kind of normal.

But the Halloween holiday has offered a brief reprieve from all of that madness of the year as these WWE superstars, who know a thing or two about portraying larger than life characters on screen, were able to put on the guise of other larger than life characters for a bit even with the spooky holiday this year being a much stranger occasion than usual.

This year WWE superstars all over surprised fans with their makeovers for the Halloween holiday as they transformed into all kinds of Horror icons such as Pennywise from IT, Chucky from Child’s Play, and more alongside video game franchises like God of War and League of Legends. There was even a shout out to the DC Comics multiverse with some Batman heroes and villains!
