Listen To The First Piece From The Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 Score

Just as he promised, the director of Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 – James Gunn – has shared a first listen of the film’s score on Facebook today.

Gunn flew to London over the weekend to work with composer Tyler Bates on the score. Yesterday, he told fans he would share a piece of the music live on social media at some point this morning. At around 8 am PT, Gunn began a stream with Bates from the Abbey Road studio.

You can watch the video here, as a live orchestra plays a section of the new movie’s score. There’s no indication as to what parts of the movie this music covers, but it definitely sends chills down your spine.

Bates has done an incredible job with the music, as he did in the first Guardians film. If this is any indication, the music in Vol. 2 will be everything we’re expectiing it to be – and then some.

Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos.
