Black Clover released a set of three chapters in Jump GIGA’s summer issue and will return once more later this year in the fall issue of the magazine, likely with the same number of chapters. The series is delving deeper into the final battle, and it is becoming increasingly clear that the story is nearing its end. In a classic climax fashion, fans witnessed the fall of the protagonist, Asta, at the hands of the main villain just as things were looking hopeful. However, in the latest chapter, Asta has risen once again and is preparing for his final confrontation against the ultimate enemy.

This makes it clear that once Asta confronts Lucius, the battle will be taken to its conclusion in the classic style of a hero prevailing against the villain. Still, there are other narrative threads the series has introduced that need to be resolved before Astaโs final fight. Hopefully, the chapters featured in the upcoming issue will give more spotlight to other characters in hopes of closing the threads, and we expect the following three to play a greater role, as they seem to have more purpose than the others.
3) Noelle Silva

Noelle Silva, one of the most prominent female characters in the series and the most obvious romantic interest of the protagonist, has had a major impact on the development of Black Clover. She has already proven herself to be the strongest among her family, who always bullied her. Their latest confrontation with their mother turned Paladin served as a challenge that compelled the siblings to work together and overcome their long-standing family conflict.
However, Luciusโ desperate attempt once again brought back Acier Silva, Noelleโs mother, now in an even more monstrous form. This will undoubtedly stand as the greatest challenge not only for Noelle but for the entire Silva family to overcome. Therefore, before the series fully dives into the main boss, it is likely that Noelle and her siblingsโ fight against this new threat will be one of the major threads the story resolves. In doing so, Noelle will stand out as an even more distinctive character and may also become the strongest female character in Black Clover.
2) Patolli

Patolli, the leader of the Elf Tribe and the main antagonist of the Elf Reincarnation Arc, was one of the returning villains in the chapters released in the summer issue. His return with the Elf Tribe, alongside characters from the Diamond Kingdom, serves as a full-circle moment, with former villains now aiding Asta because of the impact he had on them when they were on the wrong path. Patolliโs return, in particular, was especially exciting considering the formidable threat he once posed in the series.
However, his return in the latest chapters, though placed at a critical moment, does not give him much spotlight beyond a single scene. This is why he deserves more focus, especially given that he is a powerful character who, like the current villain Lucius, once harbored an innocent individual and manipulated them into sinister schemes. His past experiences could help Asta better understand Luciusโ motives and perhaps even discover a path to victory, making Patolli one of the characters who should receive more spotlight before the series concludes.
1) Yami Sukehiro

Yami Sukehiro, a fan-favorite character from Black Clover, has one of the most significant impacts in the series. His feats are unbelievable, and the reveal of his origins from the Land of the Sun added even more weight to his character. However, his true impact lies in being one of the most distinctive figures and someone who stands very close to becoming the Wizard King. His depth is further explored through his connection with his vice-captain, Nacht Faust, and Nachtโs twin brother, Morgan, which is exactly what the latest battle depicts.
While Yami helped Nacht confront Morgan alongside his sister, Ichika Sukehiro, the Paladin has returned in an even more monstrous form. Therefore, before the battle shifts toward Asta and Lucius, Black Clover needs to emphasize Yamiโs fight against this corrupted version of Morgan. This will completely solidify his role as one of the strongest characters in the series and place him even closer to becoming Wizard King, which could also help break the stereotype of the Wizard King always stemming from royal lineage, thereby paving the way for Asta to truly become Wizard King once balance is restored in Black Clover.
