Jujutsu Kaisen has been hard at work on returning with new episodes, and now fans have been given the first look at what’s coming next with the first trailer for its highly anticipated Season 3. It’s no secret that the Jujutsu Kaisen TV anime is currently one of the most popular releases of the last few years, and the second season really took all of that to wholly new heights thanks to how much work the production team at studio MAPPA put in to bring it all to life. Now we’re going to see another major arc hopefully getting the same treatment.

As part of the celebration for Jujutsu Kaisen‘s fifth anniversary, the TV anime held a major event in Japan where they shared new information about the anime’s future. This includes the first full look at Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 as it gets ready to take on the Culling Game arc and kick off a whole new wave of battles for Yuji Itadori and the surviving Jujutsu Sorcerers. You can check out the first look at Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 below thanks to its first trailer.
What to Know for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: The Culling Game Part 1 will be adapting the Culling Game arc from Gege Akutami’s original manga series when it finally returns sometime in January 2026. This new arc introduces not only returning characters like Yuta Okkotsu (who first made his debut in the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 prequel film), but will also be introducing a whole new wave of faces to the anime as part of a deadly tournament. Thanks to the fake Suguru Geto unleashing a wave of Cursed Spirits on Shibuya in the second season, many new fighters have begun to awaken to their own kinds of powers and abilities. Which means a lot of new enemies are coming Yuji’s way.
Jujutsu Kaisen officially ended its run with Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine last year, and that’s made the wait for Season 3 all the tougher. This is going to be the first new material fans of the franchise have gotten to see since series creator Gege Akutami brought his action series to an end, so there is going to be quite a lot that fans will want to see in action with the new episodes. Especially because the Culling Game arc really is the beginning of a stretch of battles that help set the stage for the franchise’s grand finale.
How to Catch Up With Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 is now in the works for a release next January, so there’s plenty of time to catch up with everything that’s happened in the anime so far. It’s going to get even more chaotic from this point on as there are going to be lots of new faces suddenly in the mix (and many who will get their own focus outside of Yuji himself as the tournament expands), so it’s going to be a great idea to make sure you’re up to date with it all.
You can find Jujutsu Kaisen‘s first two seasons, along with the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 prequel film, now streaming with Crunchyroll with both Japanese and English language audio options available. Season 3 of the anime will be exclusively streaming with Crunchyroll this January, but the first two episodes will be hitting theaters in the United States on December 5th as part of GKIDS’ new movie event, Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution.
