Stellar Blade was released on PS5 back in 2024 by developer Shift Up and publisher Sony, and now it looks like the pair is teasing DLC for the game. More than this, it looks like this DLC will be horror-themed. Right now, it is unclear whether the new tease is specifically for DLC or just a substantial update, but it is certainly teasing new content, and this new content has a horror vibe. In fact, it looks more like a screenshot of the upcoming Resident Evil Requiem rather than a screenshot from Stellar Blade.

Unfortunately, the new tease is not coupled with any salient details, minus one. And this detail comes in the caption that accompanies the new screenshot, which reads “in one week….”. Of course, this appears to suggest that whatever this is will be at least revealed next week, if not released.
The New Tease and Possible Silent Hill Connection
The new tease, which can be seen below, doesn’t come with much context. There is a hallway, and the aforementioned horror vibes, and not much else.

What is interesting about the timing of this tease and the “one more week” element is that next week, Silent Hill F will be released. To this end, this could be teasing some type of collab, complete with a little bit of new content. Stellar Blade has already done two collabs: one with Nier and another with Goddess of Victory: Nikke. So there is a collab precedence to consider here, and while Silent Hill F and Stellar Blade don’t seem like an obvious match for a collaboration, both feature female protagonists, both are made by Asia-based studios, and there are some stylistic inspirations both games share. That said, for now this is just speculation.
Resident Evil
Another potential collaboration could be Resident Evil, considering there is already a Resident Evil collab with one of Shift Up’s other games, the aforementioned Goddess of Victory: Nikke. So, a lot of the legwork that goes into making collaborations like this happen has already been completed. This is, of course, also just speculation, but many of the same arguments that favor this being a Silent Hill F collaboration do apply to Resident Evil as well.
As always, feel free to leave a comment letting us know what you think, or join the conversation over on the ComicBook Forum. Would you be interested in new Stellar Blade DLC? Do you think this is a collaboration tease?
