What to Know for Splinter Cell: Deathwatch’s Fall 2025 Premiere

Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Deathwatchย will beย making its worldwide debut with Netflix on October 14th, so this might be the final full trailer for the new animated series before it premieres outside of smaller promo or teaser releases. This new animated series will be directed by Guillaume Dousse and Fรฉlicien Colmet-Daage with animation production at studios Sun Creature and Fost, and Derek Kolstad (the creator behind the John Wick franchise) will be writing the scripts for the series while also serving as executive producer together with Helene Juguet, Hugo Revon, and Ubisoft Film & Televisionโ€™s Gerard Guillemot.

It’s hard to gauge exactly where Splinter Cell: Deathwatch fits right into the wider Splinter Cell franchise, but Netflix ominously teases the animated series as such, “In the shadowy world of espionage, Sam Fisher is a rumor and a legend. Pulled back into action, he must help a new recruit unravel a global conspiracy.” The voice cast will be led by Liev Schreiber as the voice of Sam Fisher, with Janet Varney as Anna Grimsdottir, Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Zinnia McKenna, and Joel Ouletteย as Thunder. But there are still many potential members of the voice cast that have yet to be revealed.

Netflix’s line of video game adaptations have done very well for the streaming service thus far, and that’s likely going to continue with Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Deathwatch given what seems to be going down in this newest trailer. Each of the shows released with Netflix thus far have sparked massive runs with the streaming service, and have already carved out names for themselves. It also will be opening up Netflix to potentially even more video game adaptation success in the future as well if this show hits a high mark.

As anime in general continues to reach high new levels with Netflix with each new release, it’s only going to push future anime releases to new heights in the future. Studies have revealed just how much anime Gen Z has been watching compared to other media, and this is even more so as seen with other franchises that had made the jump to screens in the past. If this one is a hit too, there could be a ton of other video game shows on the way.
