One Piece Creator Finally Reveals The Series’ Biggest Secret (With a Catch)

One Piece’s creator has finally revealed the manga and anime franchise’s biggest secret, but there’s an even bigger twist behind it. One Piece has crossed over a massive milestone with the release of the newest volume of the manga in Japan as it has now crossed over 600 million copies in circulation. This is monumental not only for the manga industry, but also the comics industry worldwide as few series have hit those same numbers. And for the occasion, the creator behind it all really went all out to help celebrate the moment.

One Piece series creator Eiichiro Oda has officially revealed what the actual One Piece treasure is, and even revealed a new secret about Monkey D. Luffy. But the catch behind it all is that the creator is going to great lengths to hide what the secret is. To celebrate the massive 600 million copy milestone, Eiichiro Oda officially wrote down what the One Piece is along with a tease for Monkey D. Luffy’s future, but sent it deep down into the sea. This special video not only confirms that One Piece series creator Eiichiro Oda has known what the One Piece treasure is since the very beginning, but has now written it down for the first real time (at least when it comes to what has been revealed to the public thus far). Writing down “What is the One Piece and what awaits Monkey D. Luffy?” Oda’s actual answer to that question has been locked into a chest and sent deep into the ocean with plans to officially uncover it when the series ends.

One Piece fans have been waiting to find out what the secret of the One Piece treasure is for nearly 30 years at this point, but it’s now actually seeming more possible than ever before. Now that Eiichiro Oda has kicked off the Final Saga of the manga, each major arc ever since has come with some big reveals about the history of the world and what that might mean for Luffy’s final hunt for the treasure. As for what the actual One Piece is, fans have been making all sorts of theories for a very long time. It’s likely going to be treasure, but the nature of that treasure is ultimately what is so interesting.

But there’s also a lot of pressure on this reveal. Fans have been waiting for such a long time, and have been following One Piece‘s journey from beginning to its eventual end. Any kind of reveal, regardless of what it ends up being, is not going to satisfy everyone. It’s just not possible after all these years. The ultimate hope is that it makes sense for the grand finale for this long running epic.
