Although the Marvel Cinematic Universe may be in a rocky state, Marvel Games is on a hot streak with a wide variety of titles. Marvel Rivals, PlayStation’s Spider-Man games, the upcoming Marvel’s Wolverine, and many others have shown the gaming industry’s capabilities when it comes to developing games around some of the biggest and best superheroes out there. While we are still waiting to see some of these games like Marvel’s Blade, we are being well-fed with games in numerous different genres.

One of the next big Marvel games on the horizon is Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, a new game that lets you play as both Black Panther and Captain America. The two heroes join forces during World War II to take down the titular Nazi group known as Hydra. The game was announced a couple of years ago, but we have yet to see anything outside of a cutscene from the game and a trailer. It’s been shrouded in secrecy, but it is nearing a release as Marvel 1943 is currently dated to release in 2026, which should mean that the game will get some gameplay soon.

Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra Gameplay Leaks Online

With that said, MP1st has uncovered some gameplay from Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra which shows Black Panther fighting some enemies. The footage is clearly developer gameplay as the camera isn’t positioned behind the hero, it’s more of a cinematic camera that is overseeing the gameplay. Still, it paints a picture of how Black Panther will behave in combat and it looks pretty cool. It appears that objects around the room like chairs and tables can be flung around against enemies, allowing for more dynamic and interactive combat.

MP1st notes this footage is pretty old and is believed to be from 2022 or 2023, so this footage isn’t representative of the final game and you probably shouldn’t examine it too harshly as it could be 3 – 4 years old by the time the game actually comes out. Nevertheless, it’s cool to get a peak behind the curtain on a project like this. Some alleged images also show Black Panther exploring a variety of different areas and an interior environment being torn up by what appears to be bullets.

As of right now, we have no idea when we will see more of Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra. However, a PlayStation State of Play is rumored for later this month and The Game Awards is coming up in December. Either way, it should make for a great one-two punch from Marvel with Wolverine also expected to release next year.
