Avatar: Seven Havens Producers Debunk Major Timeskip Theory

Avatar: Seven Havens has officially brought its first season to an end with Paramount+, and the producers behind it all have unfortunately shut down any hopes of a big time skip coming anytime soon. When Avatar: Seven Havens was gearing up for its debut during a panel at New York Comic Con 2026 earlier this Fall, a piece of concept art showing off an older look for Pavi and Nisha had fans wondering whether or not that would be seen in the series itself as the result of a potential time skip.

Avatar: Seven Havens ended its first season with Pavi and Nisha separating as the two of them are now off on their own journeys, so fans had been wondering if it would lead to a time skip as Pavi visits each of the other Havens. Speaking to IGN, franchise co-creator Michael DiMartino and executive producers Sehaj Sethi and Ethan Spaulding reveal that there won’t be a lengthy time jump outside of accounting for travel time between Havens, “Time passes, but it’s not like we’re jumping forward years or anything.”

When asked about that piece of concept art itself that sparked all of these fan theories in the first place, Avatar: Seven Havens executive producer Sehaj Sethi shut down the idea with, “that was concept art. So whether there’s a time jump, who’s to say, but that was not a time jump piece of art. That was just concept art.” Executive producer Ethan Spaulding further explained that time will be passing between episodes as normal, and be more in line with how Avatar: The Last Airbender’s own events played out.

“Within the span of a series, there’s time in between episodes,” Spaulding noted. “It’s not very big, but you could say they’re traveling for weeks or months. Itโ€™s similar to Last Airbender.” To which co-creator Michael DiMartino then put the final nail in the coffin with “Yeah, now that they’re on the road, [you] gotta account for the travel time in certain ways,” DiMartino stated. “Time passes, but it’s not like we’re jumping forward years or anything.” So there will be days and even months between events, but not going as far as featuring a much older version of the twins over its four seasons.

What Does This Mean for Avatar: Seven Havens‘ Future?

Avatar: Seven Havens has been renewed through to Season 4, and the producers behind it have confirmed that the series will end its story with that fourth and final season. They have clearly mapped out everything that’s going to happen, and are currently far enough in production that if they say there isn’t going to be a big time skip, unfortunately it means there won’t be one. But there really won’t need to be one either way if the series does have a pace like Avatar: The Last Airbender.

That series is still held in high regard because of everything that happens in it, but looking back it only takes place within the span of a couple of years. Yet it never seemed like events were happening too quickly, and that was because the series was paced in such a way that it was able to do everything it needed to within that small pocket of time. It’s likely going to be the case for Pavi and Nisha’s journey too.
